Our photo of the week features one of the most famous Royal Navy ships of all time – the battlecruiser HMS Hood. Launched on August 22, 1918, Hood entered service in 1920 but was sunk by the German battleship Bismarck on May 24, 1941, with the loss of 1,415 crewmen. (Key Collection)
